Distribution Centre and its’ future

Brian has had a meeting with CPC.  The matter of ownership and lease of the allotment site is to be reviewed on the evening of 27th January.   It is proposed that Ged and Mike will attend the meeting.

CPC confirm they are holding £21,000 earmarked for the allotments which needs to be spent by March 2021

Clarification as to who owns the D.C is still not clear as the hut was built by allotment holders and not the Council originally.

Mike has been given a list of contractors to be approached for quotes regarding the hut rebuild

A further update from Mike is expected at the next allotment committee meeting

Equipment

The broken lawnmower has now been repaired and the Committee wish to thank Tich for undertaking the repair.

Should any plot holder require their plot to be rotavated using the allotment tractor, this will cost £20.00 per hour plus £5 for cost of fuel and will be carried out by Tich with prior arrangement. This is dependent on the plot being accessible, as not all plots can be reached by the tractor.  Anyone wanting to have this done should contact any member of the committee who will arrange for Tich to speak to them.

It should be noted that the large rotavator should only be used by plot holders who are confident in using it and that all users do so at their own risk.

Compost Heap

The bonfire has yet to be burned. Alan will judge the right time for this to be carried out, weather conditions etc..

 Other Items :

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ - MAIN GATES:  Plot holders are reminded to close and lock the gates if they are the last car / person to leave the site at night and no one else is visible.  All plot holders are advised to bring their gate keys with them when attending their plot.

Message of thanks from Alan Brawn of Greening Chinnor:  “Please accept our thanks for your extremely recent generous donation of £90.70 seeds at CAGA price. Some of the seeds will be used to provide planting for our Station Road Community Planters and also for our forthcoming Seed and Plant Swap on the 9th May (hold that date). Anything not used will be given as encouragement for some of our local community to start to grow their own. We will, of course be acknowledging and publicising CAGA ongoing generosity.”

Next meeting will be on Wednesday19th February 2020 at 7pm in the D.C
