Minutes of meeting held on 15th June 2022 at 7:00pm

2.       Minutes of  previous meeting

Resolved to accept minutes of May 2022 meeting

 

 

3.       Finance Reportt

Sandy noting bank figures.

 

Sandy had seen the Bank and obtained a new application form which she will complete and get PG an MI to sign

 

Sandy suggested transferring £10K to a separate deposit account in order to earn interest and to be seen to make best use of our funds.

4.       AOB Financial Matters

BR has contacted the electrician again to chase invoice and completion certificate

 

The land is owned by the Parish Council in Trust

 

RL will come up with a list of new plot holders within the last 24 months. Plot holders will be asked if they wish to be judged. MI has spoken to the person who will judge the plots and arrange a date

PB reported that a delivery of Compost, Slug pellets and netting has arrived earlier in the day. Compost to be sold at £6 per: bag.

 

PB to send price list to BR who will enlarge and laminate it to go on the notice board.

 

BR will laminate chemical names to go on shelves to make them more visible.

 Details of the uses of the chemicals will be available at the counter

 

SR to let PB know on a rolling 3 monthly basis how shop sales are going

PB suggested adding an additional prize to the meat draw. The decision was taken to monitor the weekly takings and possibly add an additional prize once a month

7.       Work party

The working party was extremely successful with some 20-25 people attending. This was due to a newsletter, post on facebook and posters informing plot holders and asking for help.

Thanks to Valerie Collins for providing tea/coffee and biscuits afterwards.

It was agreed to have a BBQ after the next work party

By way of a thank you to those who helped.Date TBA

One skip was filled and another is on site.

 BR, TC,GP,MI and PG to get the water tank left on a plot into it Sunday at 9.30 plus the rest of the items which would not fit into the 1st skip

 

8.       Report from plot letting committee

RL noting waiting list is 19.

Now plots have been cleared they can be let.

BR and RL to do walk round to decide what else needs removing from plots in advance of next work party.

9.       Letter to plot holders

A newsletter to be sent to all plot holders highlighting what the bonfire is for plus other issues they need to be made aware of.

 

 

10.   Chinnor pump update, items for insertion

Alan Braun has updated the database and MI will forward to RL this week

BR will write to Alan Braun to thank him for his assistance.

 

11.   AOB

An Xmas lunch was discussed but no final decision made.

Bonfire date – to be agreed with Alan Braun for suitable weather conditions.

Some tenants were concerned about fruit and Veg being stolen in view of rising prices. The possibility of having higher gates was discussed and put on hold to see whether this is a problem. If so the Parish Council will be approached for funding

The new seat is on order delivery date TBA. It will be delivered to Chinnor Motors as the allotment does not have a postcode

Price £542.28 SR to raise a cheque to PG who has paid for it.

PG will arrange to get the pew to the allotment as well. SR volunteered the use of the trailer if required

A replacement minute taker is still require. SR will act as stand in on a temporary basis

A mat for the outside door to the kitchen is required TC to purchase

The green bin requires a new lid
