Minutes of meeting held on 17th August  2022 at 7:00pm

2.       Minutes of  previous meeting

Minutes of July 2022 meeting accepted.

 

Electrician still not responding to emails. Also need to ask him for a safety certificate. BR to contact Alan Brawn re pat testing equipment in the DC.

3.       Finance report

SR noting bank figures.

4.       Shop Report

PB Sales are now reducing as the season progresses. Plan is to place a seed order later in the year.

5.       Website & Facebook report, inc newsletter update & email account admin, etc

Website is currently up to date.

It was noted that only 70% of members are opening newsletters. Not many people responded to the recent request for help for the working party.

6.       Plot Letting

14 vacant plots and 14 people on the waiting list. Plots will be allocated to people on the waiting list asap rent free until the beginning of the next allotment year, 1st October.

Plot signs. It is now illegal to use the yellow signs which we previously used. An initial quote to supply 160 aluminium plaques is £620. Further quotes are to be obtained.  GP, BR

It was proposed to thank AB for work done for the allotments.

9.       Next Working Party

Hedge trimmer needs checking. Next working party will be on 3rd September 10 – 12 with BBQ burgers & sausages for helpers as a thank you.

10.   Results of Plot Judging

It was decided to present the annual awards at the AGM. Cups need to be retrieved engraved and polished. Prizes in the form of vouchers for the CAGA shop, £25 £15 and £10. The Judge will be thanked with a shop voucher too £50.

 

 

11.   Allotment BBQ

It was decided that time was too short to plan it for this year and the decision was made to have one next year.

 

 

12.   Allotment Gates

Gates need to be closed and locked by the last car/person whatever time of day it is.

 

 

13.   AGM

Wednesday 26th October 7 pm. Pavilion to be booked. Remind plot holders that rents are due and should be paid before the end of October.

Thames water hosepipe ban begins on 24th August.              NO hosepipes to be used on the site.
