Present : Ged Wells, Peter Greenway, Diane Troye, David Shaw, Pete Bowler, Mike Ibbet, Rod Lavers, Stephen Colley,  Frans Lytzen

 Apologies: Brian Roebuck,

Minutes of the last meeting were approved.

Bank account is now sorted and both Peter G and Mike are able to operate the account.

Money in the bank stands at £11,444. Balance is up by £1,500 based on figures from last year. Shop order invoices are paid up to date.

The shop has been operating during lockdown for those plot holders who have placed online orders and collected them at agreed times via Pete G and Peter B on either on a Wednesday or Saturday. Regular Sunday opening is still not possible.

Two orders were placed by Peter B most of which have been sold now. Currently there is no compost, an order has been put in but this may take awhile for delivery due to supplier being out of stock. There are some seeds left for sale but no further order will be made for these now until the New Year for the start of next season.

There is a good stock of fertilizer and canes.

The committee would like to say a big thank you to both Peters’ for operating the shop during lockdown.

 Pete B

Shop Rota

The Sunday shop remains closed at this time due to Covid-19 rules.

Distribution Centre and its’ future

Mike is still working on this.  He has been informed that the Section 21 monies held by CPC have now expired.

Issue around land ownership is presently with CPC solicitors and still waiting to be actioned.

Brian has been very helpful to Frans during the lockdown period and has been carrying out plot checks across the site. The committee wish to thank Brian for all his efforts.

Four vacant plots have been let out recently.  There are no current plot vacancies, however there may be 3 potential plots coming vacant shortly.  There are currently 21 people on the waiting list.

Frans wishes to thank John Higginson for mowing the orchard area and Tich for keeping up the rotavation of plots.

The Scout plot located near the Scout hut is still not being cultivated by the Scouts so Frans will enquire if they still want to use it.  He will report back to next meeting.

Annual Plot Judging

Richard who did the judging last year is not able to do it this year so Mike is looking into alternative arrangements. To report back once more detail is known.

Currently only Peter B and Tich know how to drive the tractor. Consideration to be given to training others should anyone be interested in learning.

Peter B states that the communal strimmer is out of action currently, John Bird is looking to take it to a friend to see if it can be repaired.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:  All plot holders are reminded that access down the center drive is for the loading and unloading of items only.  It is not for parking on.
