Approx £142 remains outstanding to pay for the cost of a rotavator belt, timber treatment and mower servicing. The rotavator has been serviced and drive belt replaced. The large lawn mower is currently in for servicing for approx £90. Sandy & Mike Russell (plot 3) have expressed a desire to volunteer to run the shop on a rota basis and may take on the role of treasurer as Sandy is a qualified accountant. Shop |
PLOT HOLDER INFORMATION The shop remains operational during lockdown. Plot holders who wish to purchase anything from the shop can do so by placing an online order and agreeing a time to collect the items via Pete G. Please contact Pete Greenway via email: pr.greenway@icloud.com to arrange purchase and collection. Thank go out to Bryan for organising the purchase of compost and grow bags from a local supplier following the delay in supply from the regular supplier. The main supplier still needs to deliver compost and the butterfly netting. Seed potatoes: there is low stock of Estima and Pentland Javlin. The price of them has been reduced to £2.50 per bag, if they are not sold soon then they will be donated to the Seed Swap Event (Peter G will contact them to advise) or the Scouts who are currently returning their plot back into a productive plot. |

INFORMATION ONLY The Sunday shop remains closed at this time due to Covid-19 rules. Depending on how the Covid-19 Government Rules are lifted in the coming weeks it is hoped the shop can re-open with effect from 23rd May. A review will take place at the next committee meeting. |

Allotment Communal Compost Heap Plot 30F |
IMPORTANT: Effective from Sunday 20th December 2020 Plot 30F, the fire mound and compost heap is CLOSED to all Plot Holders. Plot Holders must no longer dump anything on Plot 30F. All plot holders must make their own arrangements for the removal of all weeds, plant vegetation, wood and rubbish by creating their own compost heap if they so wish and taking all rubbish to the local tip. Anyone seen dumping items on Plot 30F will be held responsible and will be told to remove the rubbish accordingly. Following discussions with Alan Brawn and Maureen Dyroff it has been agreed that they will clear the compost heap by end of April. The compost will be shared among their other charitable concerns. Bryan will contact Alan and Maureen to see if they still intend in clearing it. Likewise any plot holders wishing to utilize the compost can help themselves. |

CAGA Website etc... |
Website is now updated with the new rules, last month’s minutes and monthly newsletter. Rod will post all Facebook members towards the CAGA website for reading accordingly. Newsletter response data shows that only between 62% & 77% of them are opened by members and that “click throughs” are very high eg only 28 members opened the attachment regarding the change of rules newsletter. There are over 126 people on the CAGA mailing list so many people are not bothering to read it. Plot holders are encouraged to read all articles in order to keep up to date with allotment matters. Rod will provide Mike with email addresses for all new plot holders so the mailing list can be up dated. |
