Minutes of meeting held on 17th January 2024 at 7:00pm at the Distribution Centre

3.       Financial Report

Printed report of December figures distributed.

Currently no outstanding bills. Shop & raffle takings very low. A decision was made to promote the weekly raffle on Facebook. Hopefully shop takings will increase with warmer weather.

4.       Any other financial matters

It was agreed to carry on and complete more electrical work in the DC to ensure better safety by adding an RCBO.

5.       Shop Report

Shop takings are low due to the time of year.                                    

A potato order has been submitted and will be added to in due course to save on delivery charges.

Out of date seeds – will be shared between community groups and some grown to raise funds for CAGA

7.       Plot Lettings

6 people on the waiting list and 13 available plots. 

Available plots are and will be promoted in the CAGA Newsletter, Facebook, Chinnor Pump and CPC newsletter.

Currently too wet to work on plots.

9.       Diary of Events

Jackie shared a proposed list of ideas for workshops and talks. The aim is to try to have one every 2 months. Several suggestions made will be added to the list.  JG to update list and share with the committee via email before next meeting

Next issue of the Chinnor Pump the raffle and available plots will be mentioned.  Also to be mentioned on Facebook.

11.   Website report, incl newsletter

The website has been updated so that JG the secretary can be contacted.

MG to send updated price information to MI and SR so that price lists in the shop and website can be updated.

12.   Grants

a)       S106 notification has been sent from CPC to say that funding is in place for the work at the bottom carpark. Work to commence on the 4th March and probably last 2 weeks. Inform plot holders that the bottom entrance will be closed and different locks. Notices to be put up advising plot holders of the closure. More information needed from contractors about needs etc.

b)      SODC grants – awaiting communication from the councillors. SR to contact.

Still awaiting news about cctv from company to give a quote.

MG waiting to hear from the banner manufacturer about a revised version. SR to ask CPC about a brown sign. JG to find out about the cost of getting leaflet designed and printed for distribution in Chinnor. Lots of discussion about options and ways to distribution.
